This innovative, two-step add-on simply bolts onto the bumper beam and provides a helpful step up into the cargo area. The steps are constructed with grated metal to ensure dependable traction, even when wet, and the 7-gauge steel build provides a weight capacity of 600 pounds. The HighRise semi truck step promotes speed and efficiency on the job, as well as an ergonomic work environment. It is also expertly engineered to avoid getting damaged. Built into this heavy-duty truck step is a roller mechanism that allows the step to be folded up, keeping it out of the way during travel or when backing up. The counter-balanced design keeps the step in the folded position, and the innovative roller mechanism enables the step to auto-stow on contact, to avoid being damaged when backing into a loading dock or other obstruction. The HighRise semi truck step fits virtually any 4-inch bumper beam. It installs easily with four bolts on most semi trailers, box trucks and flat decks. The minimum pocket size for this step is 12.8 inches wide x 12.25 inches deep from the back of the bumper in the stored position. It requires 15.75 inches from the bottom of the bumper to the deck, and 6.25 inches of ground clearance below the bumper.
